'tis a Small Gift

A beautiful little scissor fob stitched on 30 count silk gauze using Simply Wool thread from The Gentle Art reminds us that sometimes good things come in the smallest of packages.

The holes in the 30ct mesh will seem quite large if you've become accustomed to the finer 40ct gauze. The wool thread adds a lovely texture and a bit of silk ribbon is included to finish this special gift. You will stitch two identical sides and join them together. Finishing instructions are included in your chartpak.

Stitch count:
52 x 52 per side
Threads:
The Gentle Art Simply Wool: Baby Spinach, Brandy, Cranberry (20 yards), Oatmeal Silk ribbon is included.
Stitching Level:
Beginner
The cut of gauze may seem a bit small for fitting both sides of the fob side by side. Remember that because you are not framing this piece you don’t need as much extra around the outside. Just take care with your placement on the gauze – you need at least ½” in between the two halves which should still leave you a seam allowance of about ¼” all around.
