Thorns Have Roses
I'm a glass-half-full kind of gal, so this quotation really caught my eye – I've seen it attributed to Confucius, Abraham Lincoln and French author, Alphonse Karr – but regardless, it is very wise.
The scissor fob is stitched on 40ct silk gauze and the cushion design is worked on 40ct linen (over two threads). The combination is lovely and easily finished as a special resting place for a teeny pair of scissors (these are "Elizabeth I" scissors from Kelmscott Designs). Seek out a pretty fabric to compliment the design for finishing, which is very easy.
A suggested alphabet to personalize the scissor fob is included, as well as basic instructions for finishing. I encourage you to seek out a cotton print for your finishing first – you may want to tweak the shades of red and green in your stitching for the best overall look. In addition, if you stitch the cushion design on a different linen count or use a different size of scissors, remember to size everything first so you don't have any surprises.
Fob Stitch Count: 45w x 45h
Cushion Stitch Count: 135w x 92h
Oops! There is a typo in the color key in some of your chartpaks – it's easy to figure out, but here is the correction:
