Prince of Peace

Prince of Peace on silk gauze

Prince of Peace

This elegant piece is inspired by Isaiah 9:6 and the much loved Handel’s Messiah, For Unto Us a Child is Born.

Pretty gold motifs accent the text of the verse, and additional motifs are stitched in the background providing subtle and tonal detail there. My model is stitched on silk gauze, but you should select your favorite fabric – any pretty cream neutral should do nicely.

There are also three additional charts (shown stitched on linen) which make pretty smalls and/or ornaments.
