Abra's Sampler Smalls
A lovely set of needlework smalls based on the stitches and motifs from the Abra Lowney sampler adaptation. Included are charts, diagrams and finishing guidelines for six pieces: a scissor pocket, two-sided scissor fob, needle book, berry, pin cushion and a needle roll. Make the entire set or just your favorite pieces.
Stitch counts:
- Scissor pocket: 72 x 43 plus hemstitching
- Scissor fob: 44 x 44 per side on 30 count silk gauze
- Needle book: 144 x 54 (inside page is 126 x 40)
- Berry: 126 x 72
- Bargello pin cushion: 60 x 41
- Needle roll: 145 x 35 plus hemstitching
Fabrics:
Weeks Dye Works: 35 count Cocoa linen, a fat quarter is sufficient, leaving some extra
30 count silk gauze for the scissor fob: a 5.5" x 3.5" cut is suggested
35 or 36 count linen in ivory or cream for the inside needle book page.
