12 Days of Christmas

The images of this traditional favorite have long been favorites of mine, and I'm pleased to finally bring you my own interpretation. As stitchers, we are always looking for new “little bits” to stitch as gifts - you will find these a joy to complete and then give or keep for yourself. Each chartpak literally contains everything you need except your needle and thread - each ornament can be completely finished in just a day or two. Hang them on a small tree such as the goose feather tree shown (from Lizzie Kate) or add them to your collection on a larger tree.

The perforated paper has a subtle sheen that contrasts nicely with the tone-on-tone greens in the background numerals and scrolling borders. Each chartpak contains the green perforated paper, adhesive-backed wool blend felt for the backing, and a bit of pearl cotton for the hanger. Complete instructions for the easy finish technique are also included. Flosses from DMC, The Gentle Art, and Weeks Dye Works were used in our models. Be sure to purchase 25 yards of GA “Baby Spinach” and 15 yards of “Dried Thyme” - these are used throughout all 12 ornaments and you will avoid possible dye lot differences if you get enough yardage all at one time.
